Here's some info about our trail rides
All rides are by appointment only. Call (650) 296-2236 or email email@example.com to schedule a ride.
The rides are designed for adventurous riders, so riders need to be reasonably fit, have good balance and be ready for some fun.
Beginner riders will be able to learn about correct riding techniques on a calm and patient horse while riding on spectacular trails.
To join a group for experienced riders you need to be able to communicate well with a horse at all gaits, confidently post the trot and two-point the lope/canter.
We provide beautiful, responsive and sensible horses and we will match you up with a horse that best suits your riding ability and preference. Our horses are loved, well trained and so happy to be out on the trails.
The rides are always either private or a small group, maximum four guest riders at the time.
Come on a ride with us and we will take good care of you, give you a good horse, comfortable saddle and food and drink.
The rides are payable in advance either by credit card or PayPal via an email invoice that we will send you once a ride is confirmed. We will also send you detailed directions.
Open Tuesdays to Sundays, 9 am to 5 pm
Use our Contact Us page to request more information,
Instructions for payment and directions will be emailed to you after we reserve your ride.
Requirements to ride
15 years or older, all minors need parent to sign liability waiver on site.
Wear a helmet. I have helmets you can borrow or you can bring your own.
Be reasonably fit. Riders need to be able to mount and dismount a horse from the ground unassisted. Be fit enough for hiking at least five miles in hilly terrain.
Riders need to wear riding boots, light hiking boots or sneakers and long pants. Please no pointed western boots as all stirrups have safety cages. Backpacks and fanny packs are not allowed while riding. It is OK to bring a small camera that will fit in a pocket or saddle bag.
Maximum rider weight 200 lb and maximum BMI is 30.
Sign liability waiver and safety rules documents. We are very concerned about safety rules so following them is a must. We promise, you'll hear all about it. Failure to comply will result in a nice hike.
